Did You Know that the Shark with the Most Powerful Bite ever recorded by scientists….

….is the Mako Shark according to the Discovery Channel program “Mako Nation”? The bite was also the second most powerful of any animal on Earth.

The Mako Shark maxed out a measurement device at a staggering amount of 3,000 pounds of pressure, approximately 13,000 newtons.

For perspective, the Bull Shark has a bite force of 6,000 newtons and the Great White Shark has 10,000 newtons bite force.

The strongest bite force ever measured for any animal on earth is the saltwater crocodile at 17,000 newtons.
