Did You Know that Great Hammerhead Sharks love Bimini….
….every winter from December to March/April where they gather around the Bimini Islands in large numbers? These large sharks, the largest of the Hammerhead Shark species, migrate through the area’s marine park.
A prime diving spot for shark enthusiasts, Bimini Island is the westernmost part of the 700-island chain in the Bahamas and is located just 53 miles from Miami in the United States.
Visitors in the region may also encounter Bull Sharks, Caribbean Reef Sharks, Lemon Sharks, Nurse Sharks, and Tiger Sharks.
